Logistics Learning Alliance has been working in collaboration with UKWA to develop three new Warehouse Programmes – the UKWA Introduction to Warehousing and Logistics, UKWA Warehouse Supervisor CPC and UKWA Warehouse Manager CPC.

These courses are designed to be studied online through distance learning, with the option of attending face-to-face workshops at our training centre in Coalville, Leicestershire.

UKWA is Britain’s leading trade organisation for the logistics sector, with over 650 members. UKWA members include warehousing and logistics providers as well as manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers and suppliers to the logistics industry.

In response to our customers’ requirements, the UKWA Warehouse Manager and Warehouse Supervisor CPCs can also be studied on a modular basis.

UKWA Introduction to Warehousing and Logistics

Logistics Learning Alliance has been working in collaboration with UKWA to develop a new Introduction to Warehousing and Logistics course. Get your Introduction Certificate with the help of LLA.

Designed as an introductory programme for new entries into Warehousing and Logistics, this course covers the key skills and understanding needed to commence and enhance a career in Warehousing and the broader world of Logistics. The programme consists of two units with a combined total of twenty short assignments to convey the basic knowledge required to complete practical work-based scenarios.

Course Fee

£650.00 (VAT at 20% must be added to these fees if you are intending to study within the European Union)

Course duration

3-6 months (based on average study time of 5 hours per week)

Unit 1: Warehousing
In this unit, you will cover:

The Warehouse function, layout and flow

 Warehouse Supervisor Certificate - Logistics Learning Alliance

UKWA Warehouse Supervisor CPC

Logistics Learning Alliance has been working in collaboration with UKWA to develop a new Warehouse Supervisor Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Get your Warehouse Supervisor CPC with the help of LLA. 

Designed to complement the UKWA Warehouse Manager CPC programme, this programme is for Supervisors and Team Leaders in the Warehouse sector, and for those aspiring become a Supervisor or Team Leader.  This course covers the key skills the Supervisor will need to build on their technical competence in warehouse operations, leadership and management.

Course Fee

For UKWA Members – £1,210.00 (VAT at 20% must be added to these fees if you are intending to study within the European Union)

For non UKWA Members – £1,360.00 (VAT at 20% must be added to these fees if you are intending to study within the European Union)

Course duration

3-6 months (based on average study time of 5 hours per week)

Draw up a plan for the daily receipt and storage of in-bound goods
Allocate labour and other resources on a daily basis in relation to this plan.
Understand the principles of leadership and management
Describe the attributes and skills required by an effective leader
Describe how you could improve your team, individual and task performance.
Understand how to manage people in the work place
Understand the customer service cycle and your role within it
Describe the different stages of the customer service cycle and your role within it.
Understand how to create a lasting impression and enhance the customer service experience.

UKWA Warehouse Manager CPC

Logistics Learning Alliance has been working in collaboration with UKWA to develop a new Warehouse Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC). Get your CPC Warehouse Certificate with the help of LLA. 

Developed on feedback from the UKWA membership regarding the requirements of a warehouse manager, it is ideal for employees at middle management level and for those aspiring to become a manager, and is expected to become the recognised industry standard of achievement for Warehouse Managers in the UK.

Course Fee

For UKWA Members – £1,375.00 (VAT at 20% must be added to these fees if you are intending to study within the European Union)

For non UKWA Members – £1,525.00 (VAT at 20% must be added to these fees if you are intending to study within the European Union)

Course duration

3-6 months (based on average study time of 5 hours per week)

Unit 1: Warehouse Management
In this unit, you will cover:

The role of the warehouse within the supply chain
An analysis of the stock requirement
How to calculate the space requirements
How to select the working methods and equipment
Handling and storage equipment, including specialised storage amenities
How to determine the resource requirements
An understanding of business finances and how to budget warehouse operations
How to control warehouse operations through relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
Legislation that impacts on warehouse operations including health and safety

Unit 2: Management & Leadership
This Unit covers the following areas:

The principles of people management and “achieving results” through people
Leadership skills – how this differs from Management
The skills required for effective communication
The importance of customer service to the organisation
The requirements of continuous improvement
Planning work, including the basics of Project Management
Organising work, including time management
Understanding objectives, teams and individuals
Verbal and non-verbal communications
