Celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Certification in Humanitarian Logistics (CHL)

15 years and still going strong! Launched in 2006, this year marks the 15th anniversary since the creation of the Certification in Humanitarian Logistics (CHL) Programme.

To mark this milestone, the CHL Programme has been revamped with the launch of its fourth version, with a fresh look and a new emphasis on flexibility and a shorter study timeframe for students.

Are you an experienced Humanitarian Logistician or Supply Chain Manager who is looking to study an advanced level qualification that is recognised by NGOs? Or a CHL Graduate who wants to move on to the next stage of your professional development?

The Certification in Humanitarian Supply Chain Management (CHSCM) Programme is the ideal Certification for experienced Humanitarians. Studied exclusively through fully coached distance learning.

We were delighted to be in Kathmandu, Nepal in September for our first ever Humanitarian Essentials Logistics Module (HELM) training session in Nepal! Participants learned about Supply Chain, Warehousing & Inventory, Procurement, Medical Logistics and other subjects.

During our training session in Kathmandu, it was great to host a video Q&A session with the board of Humanitarian Logistics Association. Huge thanks to George Fenton, Andrew Parkes and Melissa Taylor for your valuable insight which our students appreciated greatly!

New RQF Qualifications now available with LLA

In September, we launched a new suite of formally recognised qualifications, covering a wide range of subject areas including Team Leading & Management, Warehousing & Logistics and Business & Customer Service.

These qualifications add another set of courses to our growing suite of professional Programmes and are suitable for those in both Logistics and non-Logistics related sectors.

These RQF Qualifications (previously widely known as ‘NVQs’ or ‘QCFs’) can be studied as Awards, Certificates and Diplomas. These qualifications were often at the heart of UK Apprenticeships prior to the launch of new standards and give a strong grounding in each of the available subject areas.

We are now accepting enquiries and registrations for our brand new course – the Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management (RQF). Regulated by Ofqual and awarded by ICQ, this formally recognised qualification tests the professional skills of students at a postgraduate level of competence.

This qualification is ideal for senior managers or those about to take their first step into senior management. The qualification centres around developing the strategic leadership and management skills needed to succeed at the highest level.

Latest Feedback from Students

Photo of LLA student Muntashir Hossain“Millions of thanks to LLA and my respective tutor for offering continuous support and bringing the best out of me. This is really an enjoyable learning journey for me.

I found this course very practical, and this course provides me the opportunity to test my learning and decision-making ability by putting it in the real-life emergency scenario. Learning from this course is very effective and helps me in many ways to perform my job more efficiently.

Currently, I am working with the UN World Food Programme, in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh as a Logistics Officer. I believe learning from this course will play a vital role in my professional career development in the humanitarian logistics sector.

I am really looking forward to engaging in another programme with LLA very soon. Again, thank you so much”.

During this period I have learned a lot from your study materials, as well as assignments, not to mention the personal research that I had to do on certain topics to be able to answer certain assignments!

I have been able to apply the knowledge I have learned while executing my daily work, as well as teach and support my team too. As someone who occupies a leadership position, I am so grateful that I have done and completed this course.

I feel like a champion to have finally completed this course before the deadline. Once again, thank you so much for all the support, now I am eagerly waiting for my certificate.

Francis Tumuhairwe, Certification in Humanitarian Supply Chain Management (CHSCM) Graduate
