Update on COVID-19 Response

As you will all be aware, the current situation with COVID-19 is having a massive impact on the way businesses and organisations operate. At LLA, we have so far not been affected and our operation continues as per normal with our team safe, healthy and working from home.

Whilst there is no change to the way we operate, please note that there may be a small delay to response times as we work around this unprecedented situation.

If you call LLA, you will also notice that we have recently installed a new telephone system which will ask you to confirm the department you wish to speak to.

Please continue to follow advise from professionals and organisations like the World Health Organisation to maintain the recommended steps, such as Social Distancing and Self-Isolation, to help combat this pandemic.

To those who are working on the frontline in the response to this crisis, we would like to offer our sincerest thanks for all your efforts. This is a useful article which helps to explain how NGOs and the wider humanitarian community are responding to the crisis: https://www.thenewhumanitarian.org/news/2020/03/26/coronavirus-humanitarian-aid-response

Stay safe.

Update on Humanitarian Essentials Logistics Module (HELM) Events in Africa

Due to the current situation with COVID-19, we have regrettably had to postpone two of our planned Humanitarian Essentials Logistics Module (HELM) Events in Africa.

We will be continuing to evaluate the ongoing situation and will update our LLA Events page with more information as we get it. The health and safety of our coaches and students is essential and we will continue to take medical advice before deciding on future events.

We still have a full schedule planned and more details about upcoming face-to-face events can be found on our Events page.

New Programmes – Coming Soon

We are delighted to announce that we are now a Delivery Partner with the Institute of Supply Chain Management (IoSCM) to deliver their qualifications to our students! From next month (April 2020), we will be offering IoSCM qualifications as part of our portfolio, starting with the IoSCM Level 3 and Level 5 Diploma in Supply Chain and Operations Management.

Whilst the courses are based around Commercial Logistics, they are also ideal for experienced Humanitarian Logisticians who are looking to move into the commercial sector now or in the future. Both options have a wide variety of units available, including Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Procurement, Ports and Shipping and Project Management plus many others.

We are now accepting enquiries and to request more information, please email enquiry@logisticslearningalliance.com.
